“Chamber of the purged vessel”
Recycled Clay and Glaze cone 6 reduction fired
Year: 2025
In response to todays political climate, embedded in Patriarchal systems, this piece is inspired by the dark Indian goddess. This ceramic ‘Chamber’ asserts the authority of the Divine Feminine in cycles of destruction and rebirth. The skulls speak to the demise of worn-out systems, particularly those founded on corruption and imbalance, symbolizing their reduction to essential dust. Yet, from this necessary dissolution emerges the promise of rebirth, guided by the commanding feminine figure. This piece celebrates the matriarchal force that purges the obsolete, not in vengeance, but in vital preparation for a more just and harmonious order. It is a symbol of transformation: the destruction of the toxic paving the way for the sacred and the truly divine to flourish once more.
